When I walk to KC I notice more things, since I don't have to pay attention to the road and all that. One thing which seems to jump out every time is a sign on a dry cleaning shop. It is in red, white, and blue and says "These colors do not run". However, it's who-knows-how-many-years old and is almost daily exposed to direct, color-sapping sunlight. This has lead me to begin thinking along the lines of:
These colors do not run, but they do fade when the freedoms they stand for are leached.
